What I'm Noticing One Week into My Launch

One week into launching Fierce and Sweet, my new line of kids apparel for parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles who want their little ones dressed as the whole people they are, here is what I'm noticing.

What's Working

The designs that lean into girls as the hunter, not the hunted, are getting the strongest response. People immediately understand the why behind the shirt, not just the artwork on it.

What's Harder Than Expected

Translating a big cultural observation about predator-and-prey patterns in kid's films and shows into a single, wearable image without losing the nuance has taken far more iteration than I expected.

What I'm Carrying Into Week Two

I'm carrying the reminder that this brand isn't really about hoodies and onesies. No. It's about my granddaughter, my grandnephews and every kid like them, growing up believing they can be fierce and sweet at once.
