Real Questions From Parents, Grandparents, and Family With Little Kids, Answered

These are real questions I've gotten recently. Answering them here for anyone else wondering the same.

Q: What sizes and ages do you design for?

Right now everything is built for infants and toddlers: infant tees, toddler tees, long sleeves, onesies, and hoodies. I hear from a lot of families whose kids are aging out of toddler sizes and asking for more, which is exactly why extending sizing upward into grade school aged children, with different sayings, is one of the next things on my list, so the same kid can keep wearing Fierce & Sweet as they grow.

Q: How is Fierce & Sweet different from other gender-neutral kids' brands?

There are good unisex brands out there, but most of them lean toward plain basics: solid colors, simple cuts, nothing a kid gets excited to put on. I wanted something with actual personality. Every Fierce & Sweet piece is built around an illustrated animal a kid can love on its own terms — a shark, a tiger, an alligator — without that animal being pre-assigned to one gender before the kid even gets a say.

Q: What's next for Fierce & Sweet?

More critters, for one. I plan to add new animal collections seasonally, deliberately mixing "traditionally fierce" and "traditionally sweet" animals into the same catalog so the mix itself makes the point. Beyond that, I'm working on getting the collection into a few boutique shops so families can see and feel it in person, not just online.
